Studies show that life balance, the ability to divide attention between these areas of our lives, is associated with higher levels of wellbeing. In this masterclass, we address the role of values, needs and emotions in the subjective evaluation of life areas (domains), and actions that are required for the creation of life balance.
Adult life can get very complex with so many different roles we need to attend to and perform well. There are internal and external expectations that you try to meet. You might be a parent, a spouse, someone’s daughter or son, a brother, or a sister, and also an employee or a leader in a demanding role. You might have an extensive family, friends, perhaps a hobby, or daring personal goals. Shifting between roles, and with the demands of those roles, life becomes increasingly complex, your energy stretched, and you can often find it very challenging to balance the different life domains.
In this masterclass you will learn how to clearly define your life domains, what your beliefs about these life domains are, how much of your attention and energy is required, and what factors could support you to find and enjoy work-life balance.
